Crafted from 18/10 stainless steel--which is 18 percent nickel for luster and 10 percent chrome for corrosion-resistance--the pattern features broad linear handles with square ends. The handles are attractively planed with a subtle transition to a slender shaft. Working ends in the Bedford design are elongated and generous, while knife handles are flat. The line is transitional in size, halfway between traditional dinner proportions and European measurements. Service for eight diners, this 53-piece Bedford set includes eight place settings, each with two salad forks, a dinner fork, a dinner knife, a dinner spoon, and a teaspoon. The accompanying serving set includes a tablespoon, a pierced tablespoon, a cold meat fork, a sugar spoon, and a butter knife.
