Review of Royal Manor Silverware / Flatware Chest

It's always nice to store your flatware, especially valuable sets in sterling silver or gold, in a nice chest rather than haphazardly in a chest of drawers. One of the renowned makers of flatware, and accessories is Wallace Sliversmiths, and none better represents the quality and attention to detail than the wooden Wallace Royal Mannor Silverware/Flatware Chest. As you can see from the customer reviews below, there's a great deal of satisfaction with this handsome piece. Read on for the details.

Obviously it doesn't come with the silverware. This is the perfect gift! Everything fits and it looks great.
Looks Nice and Is a Good Value

The item is perfect for storing a 12 setting silverware set. The bottom drawer is a nice size for storing miscellaneous pieces like serving spoons. The item arrived promptly, and it was very well packed. It is built well and is a good value for fifty dollars. If you have a nice set of silverware, then you would be proud to store it in this case. Most people will probably store this under a bed or in the closet, but it has a nice look to it so you might want to keep it out.

Very nice and quality looking. Has a nice interior and more importantly my wife is very happy with it.
Beautiful chest, but doesn't hold as much as I hoped

I bought this chest mainly because it is described as holding a service for 12, up to 100 pieces. Maybe fine silver is more delicately built than my Lenox stainless flatware (Landmark Platinum Frosted, for size reference), because although I managed to get 12 place-settings (plus 12 more small forks for dessert) into the chest -- 72 pieces total -- it just couldn't hold more if I wanted to be able to close the lid and drawer. No more room, so my 16 accessory pieces need another home. It may hold 100 pieces of a different flatware or silverware pattern, though I'm thinking a service for 8 with a few accessory pieces (no gravy ladle or pie server) would be more realistic for modern "bulky" flatware.

Even so, it's a beautiful chest, nicely lined. The lid has 12 slots for knives, and the top compartment has a 10-slot holder for the other utensils. The bottom drawer has an 8-slot holder. It would be nicer if the holders had the slots cut a little lower to allow the flatware to rest lower -- this would allow for more storage space.
Love it!

I got this in the mail yesterday and am VERY pleased with it. The box is a lot lighter in color than it looks on the box. It is more of a cherry wood, or maybe an amber. All twelve of my five piece flatware fit nicely into the top section and there are two rows left for other pieces on the top as well as the whole bottom drawer for more. Especially for the price, I don't think you can find a better box!
